The average price of gasoline in San Diego County reached $3.56 on Sunday, the highest since Oct. 4, 2008.

The 17th increase in 19 days pushed the average price 12 cents higher than a week ago, 21.3 cents above what it was one month ago and 63 cents greater than it was one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
