The Santee Chamber of Commerce, local leaders and fans of the legendary Santa Ysabel bakery gathered at the new Dudley's Deli & Bakery in Santee Wednesday morning for a celebratory ribbon cutting.
The eatery opened its doors about a month ago, just in time to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the original bakery about a half hour northeast of Santee.
They sell sandwiches stacked with great tasting deli meat, pies, the much-loved fruit bars, a selection of about a dozen breads shipped down every day, and even Dudley's label coffee.
