Santee Chamber of Commerce Partners With Small Business Administration

Local businesses will now have more resources at their disposal.

An agreement was signed by the on Monday that will improve access to technological information, education and resources needed by local entrepreneurs to start and grow small businesses.

The U.S. Small Business Administration’s (SBA) district office in San Diego signed a strategic alliance with the Santee Chamber, pledging to work together to improve Santee business access to educational opportunities, like workshops, and SBA resources, such as financial opportunities and training for businesses.

The agreement was signed by SBA District Director Ruben Garcia and the Santee Chamber Executive Director John Olsen.

“The Santee Chamber has an excellent history of assisting entrepreneurs take their place as business owners and I know that it will take advantage of our SBA programs to help potential owners fulfill their dreams of small business ownership," said Garcia.

In addition to regular networking events, the Santee Chamber offers various workshops and informational sessions that will be expanded due to this partnership.

"The agreement allows the Santee Chamber to enhance the services we provide, such as one-on-one counseling, education, roundtables, networking events and information resources to entrepreneurs throughout the region," said Olsen.
