Manzanita Brew Co. Plans to Greatly Expand

A local craft beer blog breaks the news about Santee's own independent brewer moving to a larger facility in town.

Santee's only commercial , , is planning on moving to a larger facility down the road in order to expand their beer production.

West Coaster, a local craft beer news source, reports that this move and expansion will increase Manzanita's beer production more than 20-fold, from 1,200 barrels a year to 25,000.

The brewery plans to have the new tasting room open by Christmas, and at 1,000 sq. ft., it will be quite a holiday party!

The new location will be at 10151 Prospect Avenue, just down the road from where they are now, and the owners say it should allow them room to grow for the next decade.

The plan on selling the current brewery, equipment and all. So, Santee may be more than a one brewery town in the not so distant future.

recently cin style and released a limited edition Serenity barleywine. Also, Thursday was the first International IPA Day, and Manzanita celebrated by bottling some Chaotic Double IPA. Now that's honoring the IPA!
