12-21-2012, Doomsday, & Sandy- oh my! Be Prepared & build an awesome pack!

Regardless of your view on all the doomsday predictions, even the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) suggests 3 days of necessities. Come learn how to be prepared.

What does it take to be self-reliant in the woods, or in an urban area, for a prolonged period of time? Your food and water supplies will only get you so far, and excessive storage can make you a target. Learn the primary tenants necessary to deal with situations, and otherwise have a great kit to enjoy the outdoors with. Get out there any Get Dirty!

I've had a lot of friends and acquaintances come and about what I think about the Doomsday talk. I don't know about the stars, however I do know people are often not logical. I also think it's ignorant for me to not at least think for myself and my family should anything like Sandy, Katrina, or the likes come to San Diego.

This will be our first meeting so it will also help to gather ideas for the group.

Can't send messages to Dad because he's now deceased, but my dad was very wise...He'd say thingsRead More like: "You can get arrested for what you say, but not what you think!" - or - "Take care of your feet, and they'll take care of you!" My dad wasn't much for words, but he was always a stable figure growing up and was loyal to mom throughout the years. Nowadays, that in and of itself is honorable! Thank you Dad! In Loving Memory...

Komfort - Read the following link:Read More http://oceanside-camppendleton.patch.com/groups/editors-picks/p/energy-officials-ask-san-diegans-to-become-your-own-nuclear-plant. Guess you missed it, but I doubt WE will ever have an intelligent conversation on the subject since you think solar and peaker plants go hand in hand.
