Oil Filter Exchange

The City of Santee and I Love A Clean San Diego have teamed up to host an oil filter exchange event for Santee residents.

Stop by Pep Boys and bring a used oil filter for recycling, plus proof of residency such as a driver’s license or utility bill, and receive one new filter at no cost.

This program is made possible with funding from the California Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery, or CalRecycle.

Motor oil must not be contaminated with water or other liquids such as antifreeze, solvents, or gasoline. Residents with contaminated motor oil or more than five gallons of non-contaminated motor oil must visit a household hazardous waste collection facility.
