East County resident Barbara Jean Holder Hicks passed away December 21 at age 80, according to UT San Diego.
Born in 1922, she grew up in Santee; her father owned the general store and was the postmaster.
She married Donald F. Osgood and raised three children in Lemon Grove. Later in life she married Thomas Hicks.
Barbara was active in PTA, Kiwanis and Girl Scouts and worked in accounting with the County of San Diego.
