Santee Patch Furry Friends Gallery

In honor of National Dog Day share photos of your pets with the rest of the Patch readers.

Today is and it's put me in the mood to get together a gallery of Santee's furry friends.

I was going to start with a gallery of dogs in honor of their day, but I got a new kitten about a month ago, around the same time I got a new camera, so I have about a million pictures of her, and need to show them off. That, and not everyone's a dog person, so we'd love to see your birds, cats, rats, even reptiles!

I once helped breed and hatch a brood of bearded dragons, so I know even the cold blooded critters can be a member of the family!

So, if you're a Santee Patch reader, share some photos of your furry family members and let us know a bit about them in the caption. Just click the "add your photos & video" link under the photos.

And, if you don't have a pet, a great place to get one is with San Diego Animal Rescue. You can see SD Animal Rescue's dogs ready for adoption on weekends between 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Santee PetSmart.

Nice to be able to include our "animal family" in these ideas. After all, they ARE our kids too!

Alice (pictured) is our sweet puppy girl. She brings so much joy to our family. This video makes me think of her. I cry each time I see it. You'd think I'd get used to it. I don't. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H17edn_RZoY&feature=player_embedded
That is an adorable photo !!!! good shot... from Nancy, the pet sitter @ Santee Critter Sitting.com..

Having this pop up in my email absolutely made my day! Brawley has brought so much happiness and love to my life (and to others). I can't imagine my days without him. I really enjoyed seeing other locals furry family members too. Happy National Dog Day. Lots of love to all the animals in our lives.
