Armed Robbers Steal Pound of Marijuana During Lakeside Home Invasion

The Sheriff's Dept. is investigating the armed robbery of cash and drugs from a Lakeside residence.

Authorities today investigated a home invasion robbery in Lakeside in which several armed men stole about a pound of marijuana and an unknown amount of cash.

The robbery in the 8000 block of Cindy Lane was reported about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to San Diego County sheriff's Sgt. Scott Enyeart. The home is separated into a top residence and a lower one, he said.

The reporting party called 911 from the top residence and said that four to five men armed with guns were occupying the lower residence and that a female victim was inside. The caller knew one of the gunmen as a friend, Enyeart said without elaboration.
