By the Numbers: Causes of Death

The Medical Examiner's Office recently released data for County deaths in 2009.

The San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office (MEO) recently released their 2009 Manner of Death statistics online, including details about Santee.

The purpose of the MEO is to "promote safe and livable communities by certifying the cause and manner of death for all homicides, suicides, accidents and sudden/unexpected natural deaths in San Diego County."

These statistics do not include all deaths, only those that were certified by the MEO, especially accidents and other unexpected deaths.
