Daily Dose: Fire and Tremors East of Santee

With a fire near Warner Springs and an earthquake near Pine Valley, enjoy life and play some cards to help a cause, catch a flick or dance the night away

News tidbits:

• Cal Fire is battling a 400-acre brush fire on the Coyote Indian Reservation near Warner Springs, about 60 miles northeast of Santee. What is being called Eagle Fire, is currently only 10 percent contained after breaking out last night.

• A slight 3.9-magnitude earthquake struck eastern San Diego
County early Friday, according to a preliminary report from the U.S. Geological Survey.

The center of the tremor was 21 miles east of Pine Valley, according to the computer-generated USGS report.

There were no reports of damage or injury, said San Diego County sheriff's Lt. Jim Walker.
