A man accused of four counts of rape and sodomy appeared in court Friday at the East County Regional Center ahead of a hearing to determine if his case will go to trial at the end of the month.

Dominic Bailey, 23, was arrested by sheriff's deputies Dec. 24 at Buffalo Wild Wings in Santee, according to Assistant District Attorney Kerry Conway. He has been charged with rape of an intoxicated person, rape of an unconscious person, sodomy of an intoxicated person and sodomy of an unconscious victim.

The alleged crime took place May 10-11 of last year, Conway said. Though four charges were filed by the San Diego County District Attorney's Office, there is one alleged victim.

Bailey was arraigned Dec. 26 and is being held on $100,00 bail. He will be back in court Jan. 9 for a bail review, Jan. 24 for a readiness conference and Jan. 30 for a preliminary exam.

If convicted, Bailey faces a maximum 10 years in prison, Conway said.
