The slayings are believed to have been committed Wednesday. But Regina Johnson, who was reported to have lost her financial services job recently, was not arrested until Saturday, after she reported the deaths to a brother-in-law in Washington state who, in turn, contacted authorities.

Reuben Johnson, who served 20 years in the Navy before retiring in 2009, had been working as a security guard, according to his sister. The 9mm semi-automatic handgun used in the shootings was registered to Rueben and used in his work as a security guard, according to Ruiz.

No motive has been revealed for the slayings. Investigators said there were no previous reports of violence in the Johnson family, and Regina Johnson had no criminal record.

In a press conference after the arraignment Ruiz said that prosecutors are early in the investigation of this case and much more will be revealed about what went on in the home that led to the deaths.

A status conference is set for June 13 and a preliminary hearing for June 19.
