Santee Crime Report

The following information was provided by the Santee Sheriff's Department and CrimeMapping.com mainly for Feb. 20-28. The defendants have not been convicted of a crime.

• Three young adults who had been hiking in the hills above Santee City Hall with a gun in his hand, according to Santee Sheriff's Sgt. Craig Johnson. The body was removed by authorities and the cause of death remains unknown, pending a Medical Examiner's report.

• A stolen vehicle was recovered on the morning of Feb. 2, according to a report filed on Feb. 25. The blue, four door sedan, valued at $4,000, was recovered on Woodside Avenue, according to a report. No suspect information was included.

• A 42-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of burglary at the in the 9400 block of Mission Gorge Road on the afternoon of Feb. 11, according to a report filed on Feb. 25. Trina Woods was arrested on suspicion of taking jewelry valued at more than $200.

• A vehicle was reported burglarized on the morning of Feb. 24 in the 8700 block of Graves Avenue. The victim reported the loss of a stereo, components and tools valued at $475.

• Michael Mcelree, 40, was arrested on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant after being stopped on Halberns Boulevard at Mast Boulevard on the morning of Feb. 24. He was taken to County Jail in San Diego after his arrest without incident.

• A stolen vehicle was reported in the 8800 block of Carlton Hills Boulevard on the afternoon of Feb. 24. The silver, two-door, owned by a 33-year-old man, was valued at $10,000. No suspect information was reported.

• A 34-year-old man reported a vandalism in the 8900 block of Carlton Hills Boulevard on evening of Feb. 24. The damage, listed at $2,120, occurred between Feb. 19 and Feb. 20, according to a report. Details of the vandalism were not included in the report.

• A 25-year-old man was arrested after stealing $36 worth of liquor from the in the 9600 block of Mission Gorge Road on the evening of Feb. 23, according to a report at the Santee station of the San Diego County Sheriffs Department. The suspect, Mark Washbaugh, was arrested on suspicion of robbery and turned over to another law enforcement agency, according to a report. The liquor was recovered and Washbaugh was booked into County Jail in downtown San Diego.

• Kerie Edoldt, 21, was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving and other allegations on Carlton Hills Boulevard at Stoyer Drive on the morning of Feb. 23. In addition to drunken driving, she was booked into the women's jail on suspicion of driving without a valid driver's license, violation probation, and operating a motor vehicle with a measurable amount of alcohol while on probation, according to a report.

• A 21-year-old man reported vandalism to his vehicle in the 10000 block of Hillcreek Road on the morning of Feb. 23. The white pickup sustained about $750 in damage in the incident

• A 44-year-old man reported a vehicle burglary in the 9800 block of Mission Gorge Road on the afternoon of Feb. 23. The woman reported the theft of a purse, ring, camera and other items valued at  more than $6,000.

• A 63-year-old man reported being the victim of a vandalism in the 10000 block of Beck Drive on the afternoon of Feb. 23. The damage, which was not detailed in the report, was estimated at $1,500.

• A vehicle was reported burglarized in the 9300 block of Mission Gorge Road on the afternoon of Feb. 23, according to a report. The 20-year-old victim reported the loss of stereo and electronics components valued at more than $1,000. No suspect information as listed.

• A vehicle was reported stolen in the 9800 block of Mission Gorge Road on the afternoon of Feb. 22. The 46-year-old victim told authorities the white, four-door sedan, was last seen shortly before  4 p.m. It was valued at $2,000. No suspect information was reported.

• Two people reported a battery in the 8900 block of Carlton Hills Boulevard on the evening of Feb. 22 The victim's names were withheld. They sustained injuries described as "minor," in a report on the incident, which made via a cellular telephone. No suspect information was listed.

• Matthew Meyers, 25, was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance following a security check in the 9400 block of Stoyer Drive on the morning of Feb. 22. He was booked into County Jail in downtown San Diego following his arrest.

• A vehicle was reported stolen in the 9300 block of Carlton Oaks Drive on the morning of Feb. 22. The 31-year-old victim reported the white, four-door sedan was valued at $4,500. The vehicle also held miscellaneous furniture and other items valued at $50. No suspect information was listed.

• A vehicle was burglarized in the 400 block of east Bradley Avenue, according to a victim's report filed on Feb. 22. The victim reported the loss of car parts, cash and a stereo unit valued at  more than $400. Neil Naffa, 46, was arrested Feb. 10 for a felony parole violation on the morning of Feb. 10, according to a report. He was booked into the County Jail in downtown San Diego without incident, according to a report.

• A 50-year-old man reported being the victim of a robbery at the intersection of Cottonwood and Buena Vista avenues on the evening of Feb. 21. The man told authorities he was robbed of cash, credit cards, cellular phone and a wallet. He was not injured and no suspect information was reported.

• Christopher Schwinn, 20, was cited on suspicion of possessing controlled substances without a prescription following a traffic stop during the afternoon of Feb. 18 on state Route 67 and east Bradley Avenue. He was cited and released after being detained while northbound on Magnolia drive at the southbound on-ramp to state Route 67, according to a report.

• A 25-year-old woman reported a home burglary in the 8600 block of Arminda Circle on the afternoon of Feb. 14. The victim reported the theft of a ring, TV, tools and other miscellaneous items valued at near $8,400. No suspect information was given in the report.
