Santee Crime Report: Aug. 1-7

The following information was provided by the Santee Sheriff's Department and CrimeMapping.com mainly for Aug. 1-7. The defendants have not been convicted of a crime.

• Three residents made a formal complaint about a dog creating a disturbance and violating county ordinances in the 10000 block of Shaggybark Drive, according to a report at the Santee station of the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.  No citations or arrests were reported and no suspect information was listed.

• A 44-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon after deputies were called to the 10200 block of Alphonse Street on the evening of August 5. A 62-year-old man sustained a minor injury, according to a report. The weapon was described as some type of "lethal cutting instrument," according to a report.

• Deputies arrested a 42-year-old woman on a felony allegation after being called to the 8600 block of Big Rock Road on the evening of July 3. Kerry Gray was booked into the women's jail in Santee.

• A runaway juvenile was turned over to another law enforcement agency after being found in the 10200 block of Mission Gorge Road on the night of August. 7. The juvenile was reported as missing and being beyond parental control, according to a report. The other agency was not identified.

• A 55-year-old man was cited on suspicion of illicit scavenging after being stopped on Mission Greens Road and Mission Greens Court on the afternoon of August 5.  Kevin Peters was released after receiving a citation on suspicion of violating a municipal code.

• A minor under 16 years of age was arrested after deputies were called to investigate a report of an assault in the 9800 block of Mission Gorge Road on the afternoon of August 4. The unnamed suspect was arrested on misdemeanor allegations of being in a minor in possession of a stun gun without written consent and public drunkenness. 

• A 27-year-old man was arrested after an unidentified victim complained of being hurt in the 8700 block of Our Way on the afternoon of August 3. Andrew DiAngelo was booked into County Jail in downtown San Diego after being arrested on the felony allegation. The victim had a minor injury, according to a report. 

• Heather McLaughlan, 50, was arrested following a hit-and-run incident on the night of August 1 in the 9600 block of Mission Gorge Road at Carlton Hills Boulevard on the night of August 1. She was  booked into the women's jail in Santee on suspicion of hit-and-run and drunken driving after being arrested on St. Andrews Drive.

• Two juveniles were arrested shortly after 2 a.m. on a curfew violation in the 7700 block of Britt Place on August 2. One was also taken into custody on suspicion of resisting arrest, while the other faces additional allegations of marijuana possession and being a minor in possession of smoking material. The matter is being handled by juvenile authorities, according to a report.

• John Schweihs (CQ according to the printout), 20, was arrested on an outstanding warrant in the 9400 block of Carlton Oaks Drive on the afternoon of August 1. Deputies were called to the location to check on a person's welfare, according to a report.

• Deputies arrested a 62-year-old man following a traffic accident that caused minor injuries in the 8900 block of Carlton HIlls Boulevard on the afternoon of July 26. Michael Cox was booked into  County Jail in downtown San Diego on suspicion of drunken driving and causing bodily injuries, according to a report.

• A 54-year-old woman was arrested on an outstanding warrant after deputies were called to 200 Town Center Parkway to investigate a report of a suspicious person shortly before noon on August 1. Mary Jones  was booked into the Las Colinas women's jail in Santee.

• Deputies arrested a 26-year-old man after being called to the 9800 block of Caspi Gardens Drive on the night of July 31. Colin Mesmer was booked into County Jail in downtown San Diego on suspicion of false imprisonment, resisting arrest and battery. A 22-year-old woman was not injured, according to a report.

• A 21-year-old man man was arrested on suspicion of mayhem after severely injuring a 25-year-old man in the 10500 block of Kerrigan Court on the afternoon of July 30 while the suspect was free on bail. Frost was booked into County Jail in downtown San Diego on both felony allegations.

  • 10300 block of Buena Vista Avenue on the morning of August 2.
  • , 9700 Mission Gorge Road on the morning of August 1.
  • 8400 block of Fanita Drive on the afternoon of August 1.
  • 8600 block of Paseo Ladera on the afternoon of August 1.
  • , 9800 Mission Gorge Road on the night of August 1.
  • 10300 block of Prospect Avenue on the night of August 1.
  • Davisson Trust, 11300 north Woodside Avenue on the morning of August 1.
  • Federal Express, 10200 Kerrigan Street on the morning of July 13.
  • 7900 block of Rancho Fanita Drive on the afternoon of July 8.
  • , 9900 north Magnolia Avenue on the morning of July 5. 

Vehicle burglaries with items stolen valued at more than $400 (grand theft) or classified as felonies reported at:

  • 8100 block of Calle Fanita on the afternoon of August 4.
  • 9100 block of Paseo Cresta on the morning of August 1.

Vehicle reported stolen and recovered:

  • 9200 block of Fanita Rancho Road on the night of August 3.

Vehicle vandalism:

  • 9500 block of Corey Court on the evening of August 4. Damage to black SUV valued at $500.
