Santee Crime Report: Aug. 8-14

The following information was provided by the Santee Sheriff's Department and CrimeMapping.com mainly for Aug. 8-14. The defendants have not been convicted of a crime.

  • Brent Majors, 29, was arrested on a misdemeanor battery allegation after deputies were called to the 9200 block of Inwood Drive shortly before noon on August 13. He was booked into County Jail in downtown San Diego. A victim, whose name was withheld, sustained a minor injury in the incident.
  • Deputies arrested a juvenile after he allegedly threatened someone with an unidentified weapon in the 8600 block of Graves Avenue on the night of August 12. He was taken to Juvenile Hall. A 51-year-old woman sustained a minor injury, according to a report.
  • A security guard was arrested after deputies were called to investigate a report of an armed suspicious person in the 9700 block of Winter Gardens Boulevard on the afternoon of August 12. Sameer Hijazi, 33, was booked into County Jail in downtown San Diego on suspicion of false imprisonment and exhibiting a deadly weapon described as some time of cutting instrument. A couple in their 30s involved in the incident were not seriously injured, according to a report.
  • Deputies cited two men on suspicion of evading Metro Transit fare at 100 Civic Center Drive on the afternoon of August 12. The men, identified as Dustin Salaun, 22, and Jacob Forest, 21, were issued misdemeanor citations and released.
  • Ryan Irey, 20, was arrested on felony assault and animal cruelty allegations after deputies were called to the 8400 block of Graves Avenue on the morning of August 12. A 22-year-old female had what was described as a severe laceration.
  • A juvenile and 28-year-old man were arrested on felony drug allegations after being stopped at Kenney Street at Railroad Avenue on the night of August 11. The juvenile, whose name was not released, was arrested on felony drug possession and possessing controlled substances. Jame Martyn was booked into County Jail in downtown San Diego on suspicion of possessing narcotics.
  • Deputies arrested a 46-year-old man on felony firearms allegations after contacting him in the 9400 block of Carlton Oaks Drive on the morning of August. 11. David Holley was booked into County Jail in downtown San Diego on felonies of possessing controlled substances while armed with a loaded handgun, possessing controlled substances and being under the influence of controlled substances while possessing a firearm. He was also booked on a misdemeanor allegation of being under the influence.
  • A 76-year-old woman reported someone snatched her purse at 200 Town Center Parkway on the night of August 11. The victim estimated the loss at $210.
  • Adam Sampson, 32, was arrested on an outstanding warrant after deputies were called to investigate a report of suspicious person in the 8200 block of Graves Avenue on the morning of August 11. He was  booked into County Jail in downtown San Diego.
  • A 43-year-old man was arrested on felony drug allegations following a traffic stop in the 8700 block of north Magnolia Avenue on the night of August 10. David Gonzalez was booked on felony possession of controlled substances, and misdemeanors of being under the influence and possession of unlawful paraphernalia.
  • An 18-year-old man and a juvenile were arrested on drug allegations after being stopped in the 9200 block of Carlton Hills Boulevard on the night of August 10. The juvenile was booked into Juvenile Hall on misdemeanors of being under the influence and resisting arrest, and  of failing to obey a juvenile court order. Christian Siguor was booked into County Jail in downtown San Diego on suspicion of felony drug possession and being under the influence.
  • Deputies arrested Alicia Salinas, 26, on suspicion of misdemeanor battery and public drunkenness in the 9200 block of Via Anita on the afternoon of August 10. A 26-year-old man had a minor injury, according to a report.
  • Hillery Shaw, 37, was arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct after deputies were called to a disturbance reported in the 9300 block of Galsont Drive on the night of August. 6. She was booked into the Las Colinas women's jail in Santee on
  • Deputies arrested a 33-year-old man on suspicion of felony burglary at the Von's in the 9600 block of Mission Gorge Road on the night of August 10. Eric Burkhead was booked into County Jail in downtown San Diego.
  • A juvenile was detained on suspicion of violating curfew in the 500 block of Park Center Drive on the night of August 9.
  • A 27-year-old man was injured following a report of a disturbance in the 9900 block of Riverwalk Drive on the night of August 4. No suspect information was listed.
  • Stacy Harper, 42, was arrested on felony drug allegations after being stopped in the 10200 block of Kerigan Street on the afternoon of August 9. She was  booked into the Las Colinas women's jail in Santee on a felony allegation of possessing controlled substances and being under the influence.
  • Skye Lamagna, 30, was arrested on felony drug allegations after deputies were called to investigate a report of a suspicious person on Massot Avenue shortly after midnight August 8. She was booked into the Las Colinas women's jail in Santee on suspicion of possessing narcotic controlled substances, a felony, and misdemeanors of possessing controlled substances and possessing hypodermics.
  • A 19-year-old man was arrested on an outstanding felony warrant by deputies on foot patrol in the 9100 block of Carlton Hills Boulevard on the morning of August 8. Isaac Smith was  booked into County Jail in downtown San Diego.
  • Deputies arrested Marilyn Tiu, 54, on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant after contacting her in the 9600 block of Carlton Hills Boulevard on the morning of August 8. She was booked into the Las Colinas women's jail in Santee.
  • Carlos Ochoa was turned over to authorities after being detained on suspicion of shoplifting at the , 9800 Mission Gorge Road, on the afternoon of August 6. He was booked into County Jail in downtown San Diego on a misdemeanor. About $143 worth of clothing and miscellaneous items was reportedly recovered.

Grand theft, residential and commercial burglary reports:

  • 8600 block of Double M Road on the night of August 14. A black and white mountain bike valued at $7,100 was reported stolen.
  • 10700 block of Rockville Street on the afternoon of August 11, reported $670 worth of miscellaneous construction equipment stolen.
  • , 500 Park Center Drive, reported a $3,300 loss on the afternoon of August 10.
  • 10100 block of Carreta Drive on the morning of August 9. Some $1,000 worth of automotive parts reported stolen.

Vehicle burglaries or petty thefts from vehicles:

  • Inverness Road on the morning of August 11. Items valued at $920 reported stolen.
  • 9100 block of Carlton Hills Boulevard on the morning of August 10, $200 in items reported stolen.
  • 8700 block of Mast Boulevard on the morning of August 10, $50 in hand tools reported stolen.
  • 8800 block of Fiona Way during the early morning hours of August 10, $375 in items reported stolen.
  • 9800 block of Mission Gorge Road on the afternoon of August 9, $520 in items reported stolen.
  • 9800 block of Mission Gorge Road on the afternoon of August 9, a $245 music device was reported.

Vehicle thefts or recovered stolen vehicles:

  • 8700 block of Rumson Drive on the afternoon of August 11. White four-door sedan valued at $5,000 recovered.

Vandalism reports:

  • Damage to a San Diego Police Department unit in the 9400 block of Calle Del Lago. Damage to a blue, four-door vehicle listed at $500.
  • City of Santee reported $250 damage to a white SUV in the 9500 block of Via Zapador. In same report, a 52-year-old man reported a vehicle break-in and the loss of $400 worth of electronic components.
  • 7800 block of Rancho Fanita Drive on the morning of August 13. Miscellaneous damage to furniture valued at $200.
  • 9300 block of Creekside Court on the morning of August 10. Red two-door sedan damaged valued at $10,000.
  • 9300 block of Carlton Oaks Drive on the morning of August 9. $400 in damage to furniture.
  • 9300 block of Creekside Court on the morning of August 8. $150 in miscellaneous damage.

No drop down menus, just click the header links for more options. For story categories click newsRead More and look on the left hand column. I know the redesign will take a bit to get used to, but I really think it will be a better site for community engagement, and easier to use. this is why the battlefield has changed temporarily from the political arena to the Energy Arena.Read More Co Gen Tricks and the usual suspects are making their big money bet on two inevitable facts that will force the hand of the CPUC and CEC to place a new gas power plant somewhere in the area. 1) the Electric Vehicle Mandate. 2) voltage support (power factor) needed by the industrial wind and solar farms in the desert. There is more to what meets the eye with the aggressive push by the usual suspects to cover our open spaces in the East County with these poorly sited RE projects. More wind and solar farms means more gas power plants. There is only one way to fight the destruction of our open spaces, and that is with roof top solar, conservation, energy efficiency and community owned energy districts. The fisrt thing that needs to be done is the City of Santee exempt residential scale PV installs from needing a building permit. Australia, Germany and the State of Vermont do not require a Building Permit to install PV.
