Lloyd was arrested at his Lakeside home in March 2011. A friend of the defendant told detectives that Lloyd grew tired of buying the anxiety prescription drug Xanax from Carioscia and hatched a plan to steal drugs from the victim and kill him, prosecutor David Williams III said.
Sheriff's authorities said Carioscia was shot several times with a .357- caliber handgun sometime between the evening of Oct. 26, 2010, and the morning of Oct. 27, 2010.
