Thrown Skateboard Foils Purse Snatching in Santee
The San Diego Reader reports that Bob Brown threw his skateboard at a fleeing thief, causing him to drop the purse.
A flying skateboard recently helped foil a purse snatching in Santee, according to a report by the San Diego Reader.
The Reader reported that a young man took the purse of Maria Sanchez on Friday near the intersection of Cuyamaca Street and Weld Boulevard. Bob Brown, who was skateboarding towards the scene of the crime, heard the woman scream for help and threw his skateboard at the suspect that was running away with the purse. The suspect tripped, dropped the handbag and ran away, while onlookers helped gather the woman's belongings.
The suspect ran toward Gillespie Way, but was not apprehended.
