Woman Hospitalized After Hit-and-Run Crash in Santee

The victim was hit just after 2:15 a.m. in the 10600 block of Len Street.

A female trying to cross a street in Santee was injured in a hit-and-run crash Saturday morning, authorities said.

The victim was struck by an older-model black Acura coupe with gold or chrome wheels just after 2:15 a.m. in the 10600 block of Len Street, said Lt. Kevin Menzies of the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.

She was unconscious and her breathing was labored as she was transported to a hospital, Menzies said. He did not know her prognosis.
