Landre’s Sports Bar & Grill Is Readers’ Choice for Cheering St. Patrick’s Day

Owner Landre Malone plans corned beef nachos and tacos for Saturday, plus green beer.

Landre’s Sports Bar & Grill has been open less than 10 months, but it’s already a hit with Santee—and winner of our Readers’ Choice poll for best place to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in Santee.

Owner and operator Landre Malone said Friday that his establishment will offer a “play on green eggs and ham” for breakfast Saturday, St. Paddy’s Day, with cabbage nachos and corned beef and cabbage tacos for lunch and dinner.

Green beer will be served, of course—but liquor isn’t the bar’s focus, Malone said.

Landre’s opened May 27, 2011, and has been growing steadily in business every day, Malone said—“right where we need to be.”

Although the bar and grill has outdoor seating, weather may negate that option Saturday. But his indoor seating capacity is 206, Malone said, so room is available for all revelers.
