This is a little family owned and operated restaurant in Santee. It was purchased in Sept. 2009 by Michael Cowhey and his wife Rivela. Michael is originally from Chicago, and made the move to San Diego via his service in the US Navy.
The food is very good and boy is it plentiful! John and I got to sample two of their most popular dishes, the first being a true Chicago-style deep-dish pizza. All I can say is “wow!” The crust is like a light flaky pastry crust that compliments the homemade sauce perfectly.

The second dish is the lasagna. Although it is a ‘single serving,’ there is no way one of us could have finished on our own. The fresh pasta and cheese flavors really come through on this dish.
