It appears that you are referring to the City Council Meeting on October 26, 2011 since it is there that accoring to the minutes it shows that both councilmen voted no on something regarding fire protection as you refer to it.
They voted against having staff bringing back a budget amendment that adds funding for the three firefighter positions that were previously covered under grant funding and set for elimination on November 4th. Now while I can see they voted NO....what I don't get from the minutes is WHY they voted NO. I am certain they didn't vote NO because they don't care about safety as you allude to. C'mon. Both of these men live in the city..both are family men...now do you really want me to believe they don't care about fire safety in the city where their families and home are? Were you at the meeting to hear WHY they voted NO? if you were, why did you not disclose their reasons for voting NO? if you weren't then don't you find it a bit unfair that you judge them like that without knowing WHY they voted the way they did? If you don't know why they voted the way they did, did you ever consider ASKING them? They are both obviously VERY accessible to the community and the people they serve. I just don't think it is fair to make a critical remark like you did without having...or without sharing...the full story.

Can't send messages to Dad because he's now deceased, but my dad was very wise...He'd say thingsRead More like: "You can get arrested for what you say, but not what you think!" - or - "Take care of your feet, and they'll take care of you!" My dad wasn't much for words, but he was always a stable figure growing up and was loyal to mom throughout the years. Nowadays, that in and of itself is honorable! Thank you Dad! In Loving Memory...
