GUHSD Celebrates Student's Favorite Teachers With Golden Apples

The Grossmont Union High School District has some great teachers! See which were chosen for this year's Golden Apple Awards.

's (GUHSD) twenty-sixth Annual Golden Apple Awards were held at in Santee on Monday night. 

Students at each school choose the teachers that win Golden Apple Awards, teachers that show all around excellence, including classroom control, good humor, are a role model, choose different teaching methods, are caring and show pride for their school.

This year’s Golden Apple Award event recognized the following recipients:

In addition to honoring its teachers, GUHSD also recognized four outstanding classified employees who were selected throughout the year: Roy Fillingame (Maintenance), Kimberly Kilander (Curriculum), Gary Willhite (West Hills High School), Judy Malette (Instruction & Professional Development). Kimberly Kilander was chosen as Classified Employee of the Year for GUHSD.
