Rio Seco School Earns First Place Trophy at Kiwanis Junior Olympics

The students were presented the perpetual trophy, which will be proudly displayed at the school for the ensuing year. Each student was awarded a big blue first place ribbon.
Vice Principal, Tammy Marble says the school plans on training hard next year to defend their title!

All of the schools in the Santee School District participate each year from the third to eight grades. The competition for the trophy is for the sixth through eighth grades.

Rio Seco STAR students excel in Scholarship, Talent, Attitude and Responsibility. Our mission is to challenge all students to reach their highest potential while supporting them on their personal journey to excellence.
Although athletic excellence is not purely about scholarship there is a connection and I know you all excel with your academics, but Saturday before last you all showed superior talent, great attitudes, and stellar responsibility. Your are Road Runner Stars!!!
