Michael Hagues, a student in Mr. Berray’s class, shared a few words he wrote in his nomination.

Hagues noted how Berray patiently teaches, doesn’t ever get upset, teaches life lessons, and even greets and welcomes students at the door to his classroom.

Mr. Berray said, “I feel honored to be chosen for this award. I’m glad to know that many students find my class rewarding. I have the rich opportunity everyday to be the catalyst for learning in a group of talented young people. Getting recognition for such an already gratifying position is sublime”

Santee Stake President Richard Larson presented a clear apple-shaped trophy and certificate on behalf of the seminary students.
