Lake 1 has been good this past week but nothing over 4 lbs. reported. Rattle traps, senkos and nightcrawlers all working well. Reminder all Bass are catch and release.

BLUEGILL:

The bluegill have been spotted. Try next to the fishing docks and rocks or any other structure. Redworms, wax worms or mealworms all work well and are available in the General Store.

CATFISH:

Lakes 3 and 4 were stocked this past Friday making for some excellent fishing. 2 tagged Catfish were caught over the weekend. Next Catfish stock will arrive May 10th.

Joyce Alvarado caught a tagged Catfish out of lake 3 on mealworms. Joyce won a tackle box.

The Lakes nightfishing events begin in June. Check out www.Santeelakes.com for a complete list of nightfishing dates and info.

Recipe of the Week: Parmesan Bluegill

Much like the fried bluegill, to make this recipe you will need breadcrumbs, salt, pepper and lemon pepper. In addition, you will also add Parmesan cheese to the bag.

Coat the fillets in egg and toss in the bag to fully coat each individual fillet or fish. Place your fillets or whole fish in a greased, glass baking dish and bake for about 20 minutes at 375-degrees or until the crust becomes golden brown and the fish begins to flake.
