Santana Grad Kevin Brady to Play for New Mexico Highlands University

He was recruited late to play football for the college.

It was announced earlier in the month that Santana High graduate Kevin Brady will attend New Mexico Highlands University as a late recruit to their football team.

He was a well respected linebacker for the Sultans and played a serious role in Santana's winning 2011 season when the team made it to the final game at Qualcomm. His high school career resulted in 109 tackles and 7 sacks. His multiple awards include 2010-2012 Team Defensive Player of the Year.

Brady was recruited by multiple schools, and chose a team that's "poised to make a run for the NCAA championship this year," according to East County Sports.com.
